BuildStrong by CIRP provides confidential, individualized substance use and related mental health support for workers in the unionized construction and technical trades. Their team includes nine master’s-level registered clinical counsellors who are available to assist any member struggling with substance use or related mental health concerns.
Members can access support by calling 604-521-8611 or 1-888-521-8611 (for those outside the Lower Mainland), or by visiting their website at www.buildstrong.org.
The Plan offers:
- 1:1 clinical counselling
- Specialized trauma counselling
- Support groups
- Referral to residential treatment programs
- Drug-free pain relief support
- Family support
- Day program
- Housing and resource referrals (where appropriate)
Services are free at point-of-care for eligible members and their families, and workers can typically begin seeing positive change within the first few weeks of treatment.
